Stop the Steal

From Knowledge Fight Wiki

Stop the Steal is a political campaign and slogan that gained prominence in the United States following the 2020 presidential election, promoted mainly by supporters of then-President Donald Trump. The campaign alleges widespread voter fraud and conspiracy theories aimed at overturning the election results, which declared Joe Biden as the winner. Despite multiple recounts and audits confirming the integrity of the election, "Stop the Steal" continued to serve as a rallying cry for Trump loyalists.

The movement was marked by a series of controversial events, most notably the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. This attack was intended to disrupt the certification of the Electoral College vote. In the aftermath, the movement faced widespread condemnation for its role in promoting false narratives and inciting violence.

Notable figures associated with "Stop the Steal" include Alex Jones and Ali Alexander. Jones was an influential voice in spreading election fraud theories and played a significant role in mobilizing supporters for rallies in Washington, D.C., leading up to and including January 6.
