The Year of the Seltzer

The Year of the Seltzer was a long running bit / segment on Knowledge Fight from April 20, 2020 to April 20, 2021.

Dan set a goal to try and rate 500 seltzers over the course of the year.

This plan fell apart rapidly, both because there were other things going on in 2020, and because drinking more than one kind of seltzer every day is too much seltzer (this leaves aside that many seltzers are not sold individually, so Dan had extras piling up at various times). A year is also too long to keep doing a bit like this.

Despite these problems, Dan in fact managed to drink and rate more than 200 seltzers.

Nowadays, the Year of the Seltzer mostly lives on as a meme to refer to an elaborate plan Dan has that probably won't work out. For example, before the Dreamy Creamy Summer got off the ground, Dan and Jordan repeatedly joked about doing the Year of Mustard.
